Ed Sheeran takes over Adele on the Rich List after doubling his wealth in just a year
The “Perfect ” hit singer’s worth was announced in a new edition of the Sunday Times Rich list. And he now adds extra £80 million from lasts year’s £80M.
Although the 28-year-old singer’s worth now supperses Adele, 31, she is however, worth £150 million and still remains the wealthiest female recording artist.
The new rich list rankings puts Ed Sheeran at number 17 on the Sunday Times which is the richest musician in the UK and Ireland.
According to reports, Adele hasn’t gone on tour since 2017. This might be the reason she ranks 22 on the list.
The both singers are the youngest stars included on the list, which was mainly dominated by veteran singers including the likes of Sir Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney.
Andrew Lloyd Webber, 71, is number 1 on the Rich List with a fortune of £820m. Sir Paul McCartney, 76, comes in second place with £750m after his wealth reduced by £70m from last year’s total.
Top music king group Irish rock group U2 ranks third on the Rich List with a fortune of £583m. Sir Elton John is at number 4 on the list with a fortune of £320 million. Sir Mick Jagger, valued at £275 million, is the 5th on the Rich List
