The both center-halfs are regarded as key men for the improvement of the crying united defence by Solskjaer with the united looking to perform a total overhaul of players.
Jose Mourinho, before he was sacked by Manchester United had insisted the position needed improvement.
Although he’s been also linked to other clubs like Liverpool, Koulibaly has long been a desired target for the Red Devils but sources told the newspaper that the current asking price of over £90m is far too much.
With united still boosting very high income, there are also options of recruiting Internazionale’s Milab Skriniar or Tobi Alderweireld from Tottenham.
However, united would prefer the younger players who can slot into the team right away, with the believe that they’ll improve further in the future.
Former United player Patrice Evra, earlier accused the club of signing players who fail to understand it’s worth.
This in mind, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to be very careful with his signings as any more poor signings could prove fatal
