Fuel Scarcity: Again Petrol Stations shuts Down in Osun State as crisis looms

More than one third of the petrol stations in Osun state are under lock and key. Despite assurances, by the Federal Government to providing enough petrol.(NAN Reports)


According to correspondent of NAN, many fuel stations were under key and lock as he went round the state capital on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the few stations selling had thousands of queues waiting.

Tayo Arowolo, a fuel attendant told NAN that the cause of the scarcity was resulting from issues to lift the product directly from Lagos.

Arowolo said most petrol stations in the state hoards the fuel, then resale later to drivers at a higher rate.

Adding further, he urged the government to intervene before the situation escalates.

Mr Yusuf Ayinla, a motorist who was on the queue at Conoil filling station at Old Garage, Osogbo, express his grieve over the actions by the station who he believes are hoarding it.
