National Assembly On fire as staff storms building protesting for unpaid salaries

The National Assembly has been set on fire today after the staff are currently protesting over unpaid salaries and lack of due promotion.
Carrying different placards with inscriptions of their dissatisfaction and chanting ''no pay, no sitting'', the workers say they have not been paid since 2010 and accused the management of the Assembly of diverting funds meant for their trainings.

The Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu tried to cool the hit as he tried to address the protesting workers but his attempts was rebuffed as the workers stopped him from gaining access into the senate chamber.
