Liverpool Vs PSG Match Preview Injury Updates,Possible Lineups And KickOff time

Off the back of a 3:0 win over a strong Watford side, Liverpool have been  dominant in the premier league so far and remain unbeaten with 3 draws and 10 wins from the last 13 games.

But so far they haven’t totally replicated the same form in the Champions League with two wins and two losses both against Napoli and Red Star.

Liverpool loss to Red Star Belgrade and draws from PSG and Napoli has left the group open to qualifications for any team in the group. They now face a tough test heading to Paris on Wednesday to face an in form PSG team in the Champions League. With both teams in a crucial need of 3 points, it promises to be a very entertaining contest.

A win for  Liverpool might set them one foot to qualification but so is it for the French side too, if they are able to scavenge all three points from Liverpool.

Liverpool Team News

Joe Gomez missed the 3:0 win over Watford during the weekend after a slight knock he sustained playing for England during the international break.

The England defender has made 11 Premier League appearances this season, but was absent for Saturday’s 3-0 win at Watford.

But klopp has confirmed he is fit for the clash against PSG with he’s absence from the team during the weekend only a precaution to keep the him fit.

Klopp Said: “In the last second of yesterday’s session, he got a little knock,” Klopp said after the Reds won at Vicarage Road.

“We thought: ‘Come on, let’s bring him and have a look in the morning.’ He said it was 80 per cent better, that’s good. So he’s no doubt for Wednesday.

“But we had Trent [Alexander-Arnold] and Dejan [Lovren] at 100 per cent, so we didn’t have to make a decision.

“It was clear he could be rested and can recover more, and then he is ready for Wednesday again.”

The Liverpool manager says the defender only missed Saturday’s Premier League win at Watford as a precaution

Oxlade-Chamberlain still remain a long term absentee but has since returned to rehab although not yet fully fit to return to training with he’s team mates.

Naby keita played for his country in the international break but wasn’t involved in the game against Watford. He is also fit and I expect Klopp to bring him back into the starting eleven to help Liverpool create more chances.

So With almost a fully fit squad to choose from, Jurgen klopp will only have to think about the best players to field out in other to get all three points on Wednesday.

PSG Team News

Both Neymar and Mpabbe missed PSG’s 1:0 win over Toulouse during the weekend with both struggling with injuries shoulder and groin injuries respectively while on duty for France and Brazil in the international break.

He siad: “I am more optimistic than yesterday [Friday] about Ney and Kylian,” he told a news conference. “They will be able to train on Monday.”

Key midfielder Marco Verati is set to return to play against Liverpool after missing the first leg at anfield.

Former Barcelona defender Dani Alves also missed the tie but might be in the starting eleven to play against Liverpool on Wednesday after returning as a substitute against Toulouse, and Tuchel expects the full-back to be keen to feature in midweek.
